Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Inchargeto oversee and manage the complete operations of our Vasai manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in fabrication, sheet metal, machinery assembly, and turnkey project execution. This role involves managing production, quality, maintenance, manpower, safety, and overall factory administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Operations Management

Oversee end-to-end operations of the fabrication and assembly units.

Ensure smooth workflow across production, welding, fitting, polishing, and final assembly.

Monitor daily activities to ensure timely completion of orders and projects.

2. Production & Planning

Coordinate with design, purchase, and project teams to plan daily/weekly production schedules.

Ensure machinery, tools, and materials are available for continuous production.

Achieve production targets with optimum resource utilization.

3. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all fabricated and assembled equipment meet Pharmintech quality standards.

Work closely with QA/QC to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, drawings, and technical specifications.

4. Maintenance & Machinery Management

Ensure proper functioning of fabrication machinery (bending machines, welding machines, shearing, TIG/MIG setups, etc.).

Plan preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime.

Coordinate with external vendors/technicians for machine servicing.

5. Manpower Management

Supervise and guide supervisors, welders, fitters, fabricators, helpers, and assembly workers.

Handle workforce planning, shift management, and performance monitoring.

Maintain discipline, safety, and training of workers.

6. Material & Inventory Control

Monitor raw material inflow and stock levels (SS sheets, pipes, fittings, etc.).

Work with the purchase and store teams to ensure timely material availability.

Reduce material wastage and maintain accurate stock records.

7. Factory Administration

Maintain factory documentation, attendance records, and compliance papers.

Ensure adherence to safety rules, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.

Handle factory-level audits, inspections, and statutory requirements.

8. Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with Project Managers for timelines and dispatch schedules.

Provide daily production reports to management.

Highlight issues, delays, and resource requirements proactively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

815 years of experience in fabrication, sheet metal, or machinery manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and mechanical assembly.

Leadership skills with the ability to manage 30100 workers.

Strong understanding of quality and safety standards.

Ability to handle pressure, multiple projects, and tight deadlines.
