Facilities manager will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems and services. As a facilities manager, He/she will be responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of an organisation. He/she will ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for its employees and their activities.
This is a diverse field with a range of responsibilities, which are dependent on the structure and size of the organisation. The person will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology and so on.
- Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments
- Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
- Looking after the warehouse and store facilities & Operations
- Creating plans for replacements and repairs
- Developing and managing vendor contracts
- Plan best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organising of current premises
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
- Good analytical/critical thinking
- Should be able to take responsibility
- 6+ years in facilities management.
- Project management skills and good organizational skills.
- Multitasking ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Good time management.
