Job Description - Executive Assistant to Managing Director (EA to MD)

Location: Pune

Reporting to: Managing Director

Role Type: Full-time | Strategic Leadership Support

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant to the Managing

Director who will act as a trusted partner to the MD and closely support the leadership team.

This role sits at the heart of the organization and offers deep exposure to strategy,

operations, decision-making, and execution.

The EA to MD will work closely with the Managing Director on day-to-day operations,

strategic initiatives, market research, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring priorities

are executed efficiently and confidentially.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow

alongside senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Business Support

* Act as a strategic thought partner to the MD, assisting in planning, prioritization, and

execution of key business initiatives

* Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and prepare insights to support leadership

decisions

* Track strategic goals, action items, and follow-ups across departments

* Assist in preparing presentations, board notes, investor decks, and internal communication

Operations & Execution

* Support the MD in overseeing day-to-day business operations and coordination with

internal teams

* Monitor progress of critical projects and ensure timely execution

* Liaise with department heads to align deliverables with leadership priorities

* Help streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

Communication & Stakeholder Management

* Act as a key point of contact between the MD and internal/external stakeholders

* Draft, review, and manage high-level correspondence on behalf of the MD

* Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups with senior leadership, partners, and clients

Administrative & Confidential Support

* Manage the MD's calendar, travel, meetings, and scheduling with high discretion

* Handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost professionalism

* Ensure the MD is well-prepared for meetings, reviews, and strategic discussions

* Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality

* Strong analytical and research skills

* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently

* Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset

* Comfort working directly with senior leadership and handling ambiguity

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field

* 13 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or similar role supporting

senior leadership

* Experience working in fast-growing, technology-driven, or startup environments is a plus

* Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace; presentation skills are essential
