The Role

We're seeking an Event Production/Operations Sr. Manager to lead the planning, execution, and operational excellence of high-quality lifestyle and experiential events. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for end-to-end production management, vendor coordination, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver premium brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations & Production Planning

  • Develop and implement operational frameworks and SOPs for seamless event execution across multiple concurrent projects
  • Lead strategic planning for production timelines, resource allocation, and operational budgets
  • Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of all event details including venue selection, F&B curation, artist curation, and experiential workshops
  • Build scalable operational systems to support business growth and increasing event complexity
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure operational performance and identify improvement areas

Production & Fabrication Management

  • Oversee end-to-end production planning, fabrication, and technical elements (AV, lighting, stage design, installations) for experiential events
  • Deep understanding of production and fabrication elements with a focus on high-quality lifestyle events
  • Design event layouts and floor plans, ensuring all elements meet safety regulations and maximize attendee experience
  • Coordinate cross-team functioning between design and production teams
  • Ensure feasibility and quality alignment between creative vision and ground execution

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Build and manage a vetted vendor ecosystem across categories: fabrication, AV, F&B, talent, logistics, security, and more
  • Lead vendor empanelment and operations processes
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, suppliers, and talent, ensuring favorable terms for the event
  • Implement vendor evaluation systems and maintain quality control standards
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all materials and services are delivered on time and within budget

Budget & Financial Management

  • Develop and manage comprehensive event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately
  • Monitor expenses, forecast costs accurately, and create contingency plans for unexpected costs
  • Careful expense forecasting, vendor negotiations, and fund reallocation to manage costs while preserving event quality and profitability
  • Work with finance teams on invoicing, payments, and reconciliation
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization while maintaining premium event standards

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage the event team, assigning tasks, and ensuring all staff are fully trained and briefed on their responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor production and operations team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Coordinate closely with marketing, design, content, and creative teams for integrated event execution
  • Act as the liaison between creative vision and ground execution
  • Collaborate with client servicing teams to align operational capabilities with client expectations

Event Execution & Showrunning

  • Oversee on-ground showrunning and serve as the operational anchor on event days
  • Hands-on event planning and management from brainstorming through execution
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they become problems through detailed observation and strategic planning
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and legal requirements
  • Manage complex logistics including load-in/load-out schedules, artist/talent coordination, and attendee flow

Venue & Logistics Coordination

  • Evaluate and select venues based on space, accessibility, ambiance, capacity, and alignment with event objectives
  • Conduct site inspections, recces, and feasibility assessments for venues
  • Coordinate F&B curation, experiential installations, and workshop logistics
  • Ensure seamless attendee experience through strategic planning and execution

Marketing & Promotional Support

  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to maximize event attendance and engagement
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for event amplification

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in future events
  • Implement learnings and best practices into operational processes
  • Develop comprehensive risk management protocols and contingency measures

Brand Alignment

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Homegrown voice and aesthetic for effective brand and company alignments
  • Ensure all events reflect premium quality standards aligned with brand expectations

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years in event operations, production management, or related roles, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
  • Proven track record managing experiential events, lifestyle brand activations, festivals, or cultural events
  • Hands-on event planning and management experience from concept to execution
  • Deep understanding of production elements: fabrication, AV, lighting, stage design, installations
  • Extensive experience in vendor coordination, contract negotiations, and supply chain management
  • Strong budget management skills with experience handling significant event budgets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in experiential marketing, brand activations, or agency environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the culture, lifestyle, music, and festival ecosystem
  • Experience working with premium lifestyle and alcobev brands
  • Familiarity with the Homegrown brand voice and aesthetic
  • Understanding of creative-production workflows and design-to-execution processes
