The Role
We're looking for an Account Director to lead and scale key brand partnerships across Homegrown's culture ecosystem spanning the culture first creative agency, media, content, and experiential.
This is not a traditional account management role. You will operate at the intersection of culture, creativity, and business, driving integrated campaigns that cut across digital, social, content, and on-ground experiences and create strong imprints that are platform and format agnostic.
As an Account Director, you will:
- Drive and grow key client relationships while unlocking new opportunities across Homegrown's verticals
- Lead end-to-end campaign development: from cultural insight and strategy to execution and delivery
- Bring strong operations management, ensuring timelines, budgets, team coordination, and execution quality are consistently met
- Identify and shape emerging cultural categories and narratives relevant to next-gen audiences
- Collaborate across creative, strategy, content, and production teams to deliver work that is both innovative and well executed
- Drive both revenue growth and operational efficiency, ensuring projects are not only impactful but also well-managed and scalable
- This role requires someone who can balance macro cultural thinking with sharp execution — someone who can translate cultural ideas into structured, high-quality outputs across multiple workstreams.
- You will play a key role in defining how brands show up in culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to maximize revenue streams across all projects
- Lead new business pitches alongside the CMO with impactful presentations and strategic positioning
- Partner with senior leadership to set annual projections and growth targets
- Provide thought leadership to partners in youth culture, branded content, and digital media
- Stay on the pulse of contemporary youth culture and emerging creative industry trends
- Bring innovative and fresh perspectives to culture marketing and purpose-driven partnerships
Client Partnership & Account Management- Serve as lead point of accountability for client relationships and campaign execution
- Manage client expectations while ensuring timelines and deliverables are consistently met
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with ability to provide references from previous accounts
- Define scope of work for each campaign/project and negotiate budgets and contracts
- Mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver on client objectives
- Responsible for forecasting, billing, and reconciling fee and production budgets
Creative Direction & Campaign Development- Lead brainstorms and develop creative ideas and concepts that push boundaries
- Drive cross-functional teams to deliver creative thinking on youth culture marketing
- Bring fresh perspectives to campaigns at the intersection of Indian creative youth culture and identity
- Guide teams in producing multi-format campaigns including digital, social, video, photo shoots, influencer marketing, and experiential festivals
- Oversee both branded client campaigns and Homegrown's proprietary IPs
- Champion digital-first storytelling with strong aesthetic and design sensibilities
Team Leadership & Operations- Guide and mentor junior marketing and brand solutions team members across all projects
- Lead and effectively manage teams of 4+ members
- Spearhead operations and workflow allocation across campaigns and projects
- Manage cross-functional teams spanning marketing, design, video, and editorial
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence within the team
Project & Financial Management- Manage P&L across all assigned projects
- Oversee delivery management and client budgets with strong financial acumen
- Allocate and negotiate budgets and contracts for campaigns
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various formats and platforms
- Ensure efficient resource planning and budget optimization
Cultural Intelligence & Community Building- Maintain deep understanding of emerging contemporary youth culture trends and creative communities
- Map cultural insights and community needs to brand opportunities
- Build new communities around brand partnerships and Homegrown IPs
- Champion purpose-driven marketing that resonates with creative youth audiences
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in a client-facing role at a leading creative or digital agency
- Proven track record in client relationship management, strategy, and operational management
- Multi-format and multi-platform branded execution experience across digital, video, social, influencer, and experiential campaigns
- Strong creative bent of mind with portfolio demonstrating innovative campaign work
- Experience managing teams of 4+ members with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strategic & Business Skills- Significant experience with business development and identifying new opportunities
- Strong negotiation skills for contracts, fees, and partnerships
- Budget management and resource planning expertise
- Ability to manage P&L and deliver financial projections
- Experience with media analytics and campaign measurement
Creative & Cultural Competencies- Deep interest and understanding of contemporary youth culture, arts, film, fashion, and lifestyle
- Strong grasp of digital storytelling, social distribution, and platform dynamics
- Ability to push creative boundaries and challenge the status quo

Technical & Production Knowledge- Good understanding of producing and project management across digital, social, film, photography, editorial, and experiential formats
- Proficiency in Keynote, Excel, and Google Drive (presentations must be made in Keynote)
