The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of university events including academic, cultural, corporate, and student engagement activities. The role ensures seamless coordination, high-quality delivery, and alignment with the university's brand and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute university events such as seminars, conferences, fests, workshops, convocation, and guest lectures.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and budgets in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with faculty, student bodies, vendors, sponsors, and external partners.
- Manage event logistics including venue booking, catering, transportation, audio-visual setup, and décor.
- Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Promote events through digital platforms, social media, and internal communication channels.
- Monitor event timelines and ensure smooth on-ground execution.
- Handle troubleshooting during events and ensure quick resolution of issues.
- Evaluate event success through feedback and prepare post-event reports.
