Estimation & Planning engineer

Key Responsibilities

Estimation

- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings and specifications.

- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (BOQ preparation).

- Conduct rate analysis for civil works and finishing works.

- Issue enquiries to vendors and subcontractors.

- Compare vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements.

- Draft tender documents and cost proposals.

- Coordinate with purchase and site teams to gather cost inputs.

Planning

- Develop project schedules using planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or Excel.

- Establish baseline schedules and milestones.

- Plan resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery.

- Track project progress against planned schedules.

- Identify delays and recommend corrective actions.

- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

Cost Control & Monitoring

- Monitor project costs against the approved budget.

- Analyze variations and assess their cost impact.

- Prepare cash flow forecasts.

- Assist with billing and client BOQ verification.

- Support the project team with planning and execution strategies.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of quantity take-off.

- Good understanding of construction methodologies.

- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas preferred).

- Ability to read drawings using AutoCAD.

- Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera (preferred but not mandatory).

- Good analytical and communication skills.

- Attention to detail and cost awareness.

Qualification

- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

- Certification in Planning / Primavera (preferred but not mandatory).

Note: Pune based candidates are preferred, but open to outstation candidates also.

Candidates must be willing to travel to Goa on an occasional basis for work purposes (all arrangements made by the company)
