Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams, drive technical excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.

The Engineering Manager will work closely with the VP Engineering to define engineering priorities, drive technical strategy, manage engineering execution, and ensure timely delivery of product and technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, extensive experience in managing engineering teams, and the ability to provide technical direction while driving execution in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the VP Engineering to define engineering priorities, technical roadmaps, and delivery plans aligned with business objectives.
• Drive end-to-end software development, from architecture and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on architecture, system design, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Run Agile (Scrum) workflows (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives) and remove operational blockers.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones, product releases, and technical initiatives.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, development processes, code quality, and testing practices.
• Drive scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable software architecture and solutions.
• Oversee code reviews, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and engineering quality standards.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and challenges, and proactively drive resolution.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, Security, Client Tech, Client Delivery and Support teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
• Monitor engineering performance, productivity, and delivery metrics, providing regular updates to the VP Engineering and leadership team.
• Manage resource planning, team capacity, and engineering priorities effectively.
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Experience & Qualifications

• 15–20 years of overall experience in software engineering, product development, and technology delivery.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering leadership or management roles.
• Proven experience leading, managing, and mentoring software engineering teams.
• Strong technical foundation in software development, system architecture, design principles, and scalable application development.
• Experience managing multiple engineering teams and delivering complex technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, code quality, and release management.
• Experience driving technical strategy, engineering roadmaps, and execution in collaboration with VP Engineering and senior leadership team.
• Proven ability to manage engineering delivery, technical dependencies, resource planning, and production challenges.
• Experience working in product-based technology companies, SaaS environments, or fast-growing technology organisations.
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven products, enterprise technology platforms, or insurance technology would be an advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
