What You'll Do
To identify the gaps in supplier Quality system- Quality, Delivery and operational alignment with Eaton manufacturing sites, communicate back to supplier & take follow up for improvement actions. Ensure supplier training and actions implemented in respective process for defect free product supply with aiming overall supplier performance improvement
1.Analyse the supplier performance data and Identify the suppliers for Supplier Quality improvement programme and launch the same in alignement with Plant,Divisional & Group Qulaity managers
- Lead Supplier performance improvement activities at suppliers by thorough review and establishing robust processes at supplier site
- Drive supplier Training program to meet supplier performance expectation per Eaton Supplier Excellence Manual (SEM).
- Train suppliers in the deployment of quality systems tools and techniques such as 8D problem solving & Quality Core Tools
- Apply strategic thought process for expansion of the process to all Eaton businesses and ensure onboarding through transition process.
- Lead deployment of consistent supplier quality related policies, processes, and procedures
- Monitor and communicate supplier performance to all key stake holders & Business
- Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture at supplier end.
- Identify the risk,conduct risk analaysis and work on the action implementation to reduce the risk
- Trouble shoot flawless problem closures in coordination with global stake holders.
- Work as liaison between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements.
- Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests.
- Assist in Supplier quality data analysis and initiate the performance improvement projects at impacting suppliers
- Lead various improvement projects and act as SPOC for Group, customers & Suppliers
- Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency and morale
- Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton sites
- Implement measures to improve identified issues and engage to achieve Goals for on- time completion
Qualifications
BE in (Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical/Production/Aeronautical/ Industrial Engineering)
Minimum 812 years of experience in Supplier Development and Quality and Manufacturing / or Process Engineering
Skills
Experience in working with global suppliers & customers
> Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Electrical & Electronics,Sheet Metal, Molding, Casting, Machining, Heat Treatment and Surface treamement is preferred
> Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
> Should possess the thorough knowledge of 8D,PPAP and APQP process and have experience in conducting / taking actions from suppliers.
> Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.
> Six Sigma Green belt from recognized certification bodies preferred (ASQ, ISI, etc.)
