What You'll Do
Ensure flawless supplier qualification by identifying gaps in Quality, Delivery, and operational alignment with Eaton manufacturing sites. Drive PPAP compliance by communicating findings to suppliers, following up on corrective actions, and verifying implementation. Provide targeted supplier training and embed improvements into processes to achieve defect-free product supply, ultimately enhancing overall supplier performance
1. Drive PPAP approvals for external and internal suppliers across Aerospace Sector.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier technical or system issues impacting product or process realization to ensure timely closures.
- Analyze supplier issues using statistical and analytical tools to enable targeted improvement initiatives.
- Onboard new suppliers for PPAP compliance through training, liaison, decision-making, and hands-on system expertise.
- Improve supplier quality performance and ensure Eaton-specific requirements are met in collaboration with the SDE team.
- Lead key improvement initiatives, conduct supplier meetings, and provide technical query support.
- Perform quality checks on PPAP submissions evaluated by the team to maintain standards.
- Support newly acquired sites in adopting Eaton procedures post PPAP Management kickoff.
- Provide end-to-end PPAP support for Eaton sites to ensure flawless execution.
- Engage with OFG sites for PPAP management and compliance alignment.
- Implement measures to strengthen CAR/CAPA processes, improve efficiency, and drive team engagement for on-time closures.
- Collaborate with EIIC, Global Sourcing, P&E, QPM to deliver seamless PPAP support for projects.
- Manage critical NPI projects involving complex PPAP requirements.
- Troubleshoot and ensure flawless closures in coordination with global stakeholders.
- Assist in data analysis to support business growth and supplier quality processes.
- Anticipate customer requirements and deliver customer-centric solutions proactively.
- Act as liaison between suppliers and internal functions (Engineering, Plants, Operations) to clarify requirements and reduce lead time.
- Respond quickly to ad-hoc requests with accurate understanding of customer needs.
- Monitor and communicate supplier performance for all key suppliers regularly.
- Lead process transitions with timely and accurate documentation.
- Manage projects as SPOC for multiple sites and customers, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Resolve technical/system issues related to product or process realization, including change management and correlation challenges.
- Ensure strong engagement with Quality, SQE, SDE, SCM, CM, and Engineering teams across affected sites.
- Lead process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of PPAP management.
Qualifications
BE in (Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Electronics)
Minimum 610 years of experience in Supplier Development and Quality and Manufacturing / or Process Engineering
Skills
Experience in working with global customers & suppliers.
- Knowledge of problem solving tools, CI tools (Six Sigma,Kaizen&A3), APQP, PPAP, Core Tools ,GD&T and AIAG.
- Working knowledge on Supplier change management(Process& Systems), statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and manufacturing processes such as Molding/Precision machining/Casting /Forging /Stamping is preferred,Electrical and Electronic components (PCBA's and transformers is preferred).
- Knowledge on supplier special processes like Heat treatment,Coating and plating will be an added advantage.
