Your impact
We are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer – CadWorx to join our Design Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in CadWorx for piping design projects and a solid understanding of piping engineering fundamentals, deliverables, and industry standards. This role involves 3D modeling, drawing generation, inter-discipline coordination, and support during design reviews and clash resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D piping and equipment models using CadWorx for design engineering projects.
- Generate and maintain key design deliverables from the 3D model, including
- Piping Isometric drawings
- Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- Pipe support drawings
- Piping Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Material Take-Offs (MTO)
- Perform 3D model navigation and review using Navisworks.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve clashes in coordination with other disciplines based on clash detection reports.
- Ensure models and drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and applicable standards.
- Support design reviews and incorporate comments from clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
The candidate should have strong experience and practical understanding of
- P&IDs and their application in detailed piping design
- Equipment data sheets and vendor drawings
- Piping layout and routing fundamentals, including spacing, elevation, and constructability considerations
- Piping Material Specifications (PMS), with specific emphasis on branching tables
- Pipe support types, location principles, and design intent
- Nozzle orientation principles for rotating and static equipment
- Accessibility, operability, and maintenance requirements for inline piping components
- Tie-in packages, including site and brownfield interface considerations
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Design Consulting / Engineering Consultancy environment
- Proven hands-on experience working on piping design projects using CadWorx
