DESCRIPTION:
As an Electrical Engineer I at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll be part of a collaborative team developing advanced instrumentation that helps make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll work on projects ranging from laboratory equipment to analytical instruments, collaborating with R&D teams to design and optimize electrical and electronic systems. Your role will involve hands-on work with circuit design, prototyping, testing, and documentation while receiving mentorship to grow your technical expertise. This position offers excellent opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your engineering skills in a supportive environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Integrating modules and conducting comprehensive product testing
  • Following established procedures and executing system tests with precision
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of modules of the highest quality
  • Contributing to product and process enhancements
  • Independently troubleshooting and analyzing complex problems
  • Document test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for defects and performance issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in EE, EC, ME or related field or equivalent, Material Science etc.
  • 3+ Years of experience with product or PCBA testing

Essential Skill set

  • Ability to analyze technical data effectively and an interest in analytical instruments like Electron Microscopes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adept at systematic problem-solving
  • Ability to analyze technical data effectively
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools, equipment, and methodologies.
  • Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to convey technical insights clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Having knowledge about system level testing, reliability testing, compliance testing (EMI/EMC) is additional benefit.
  • Ability to understand the test cases & work instructions as per procedure documents and executing the test cases.
