We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge initiative aimed at transforming the regulatory submission process through Generative AI, structured content management, and data-driven automation.
This position plays a pivotal role in designing and building scalable, high-performance software solutions for regulatory labeling systems that align with global pharmaceutical compliance standards.
This is a hands-on development role, where you'll work on modern software stacks and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to enable automated content authoring, data mapping, and system integrations within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems for GenAI-driven content authoring and regulatory data management.
- Build and integrate APIs and services that support structured content creation, storage, and presentation.
- Develop user interfaces using React and backend services using Python, with potential exposure to Java or Node.js as applicable.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for services on AWS (e.g., Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, DynamoDB).
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and cross-functional technical discussions.
- Monitor system performance, handle bugs, implement enhancements, and contribute to system scalability and resilience.
- Maintain clear, structured technical documentation and deployment records.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies, best practices in GenAI, cloud development, and pharmaceutical regulatory tech.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams including Product, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 0–3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; OR
- Diploma and 4–7 years of relevant experience.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Experience with at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and one frontend framework (React, Angular, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases and data integration.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data modeling, and mapping data to ontologies or dictionaries.
- Exposure to Agile development, Jira, and team collaboration tools.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code with focus on software quality and reusability.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with GenAI content generation platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory standards (e.g., eCTD, ICH M4, USPI) and structured labeling.
