Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge initiative aimed at transforming the regulatory submission process through Generative AI, structured content management, and data-driven automation.

This position plays a pivotal role in designing and building scalable, high-performance software solutions for regulatory labeling systems that align with global pharmaceutical compliance standards.

This is a hands-on development role, where you'll work on modern software stacks and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to enable automated content authoring, data mapping, and system integrations within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems for GenAI-driven content authoring and regulatory data management.
  • Build and integrate APIs and services that support structured content creation, storage, and presentation.
  • Develop user interfaces using React and backend services using Python, with potential exposure to Java or Node.js as applicable.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for services on AWS (e.g., Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, DynamoDB).
  • Participate in system design, code reviews, and cross-functional technical discussions.
  • Monitor system performance, handle bugs, implement enhancements, and contribute to system scalability and resilience.
  • Maintain clear, structured technical documentation and deployment records.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, best practices in GenAI, cloud development, and pharmaceutical regulatory tech.
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams including Product, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 0–3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; OR
  • Diploma and 4–7 years of relevant experience.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Experience with at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and one frontend framework (React, Angular, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases and data integration.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data modeling, and mapping data to ontologies or dictionaries.
  • Exposure to Agile development, Jira, and team collaboration tools.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code with focus on software quality and reusability.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with GenAI content generation platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory standards (e.g., eCTD, ICH M4, USPI) and structured labeling.

Soft Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Highly collaborative and able to thrive in virtual, cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presenting technical solutions.

What We Offer:

  • Exposure to advanced AI-driven digital transformation in a global pharmaceutical setting.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-grade cloud-native platforms with real-world impact.
  • Mentorship and learning pathways to grow within software engineering and AI development.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and flexibility in work models.
