We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our advanced foundry operations.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the electrical systems and equipment within our SG iron foundry. You will be instrumental in minimizing downtime, implementing preventive maintenance strategies, and ensuring all operations adhere to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues and perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all electrical equipment.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), MCC panels, and LV distribution systems.
- System Focus: Maintain the electrical systems for core foundry machinery, including induction furnaces, EOT cranes, sand preparation plants, molding machines, and finishing equipment.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all electrical safety norms, industry standards (e.g., OSHA), and lockout-tagout procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix faults related to PLCs, SCADA systems, motor controls, and instrumentation to ensure minimal production disruption.
- Inventory & Documentation: Manage the inventory of critical electrical spare parts and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime reports.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to address cross-functional issues and mentor junior technicians on proper maintenance procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in an electrical maintenance role, with significant experience in a foundry or heavy industrial environment (Iron & Steel preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution (HT/LT), motor control, and PLCs.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Licenses (if applicable): An 11KV HT Supervisor License may be preferred or required.
