Job Title: Trainee Engineer - Foundry Maintenance Department

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Engineer to join our Foundry Maintenance department. As a Trainee Engineer, you will assist in the maintenance and upkeep of our foundry equipment and facilities, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

Maintenance Support

  • Assist senior maintenance engineers and technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and overhauls of foundry equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and report to supervisors.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving

  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues, using problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history.
  • Update maintenance schedules and plans as needed.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in safety audits and training programs.

Learning and Development

  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, equipment, and maintenance techniques.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to improve maintenance practices and contribute to departmental goals.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineer .
  • 0-2 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and control systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a foundry or metalcasting environment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software, such as CMMS or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
