Engine design Engineer

Purpose of the Role

• Design of powertrain components
• Conduct failure analysis and determine countermeasures
• Perform CAD layout reviews and resolve interface issues
• Release designs and conduct structured design reviews
• Execute benchmarking studies to derive insights

Role Description

• Experience using CREO or CATIA for 3D/2D modeling and assembly/interface handling
• Strong basic understanding of design and related calculations
• Familiarity with PLM tools like PTC Windchill
• Ability to perform DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS
• Conduct benchmarking and extract design insights
• Evaluate quality, cost, and weight gaps against performance targets
• Review product definitions and prepare design input sheets
• Awareness of intellectual property considerations
