Engine design Engineer

Purpose of the Role:

• Design powertrain components
• Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions
• Conduct CAD layout reviews and resolve interface issues
• Release and review design through structured design reviews
• Conduct benchmarking to gather insights and improve design

Role Description:

• Proficient in CREO/CATIA for 3D/2D modeling, assemblies, and interface handling of powertrain systems
• Solid foundation in design principles and engineering calculations
• Experience using PLM software, preferably PTC Windchill
• Conduct DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and DFS for design validation
• Perform benchmarking and derive meaningful insights to improve quality and innovation
• Identify gaps in quality, cost, and weight compared to project targets
• Analyze product definitions and prepare detailed design input sheets
• Familiar with intellectual property (IP) considerations in product design
