Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Energy Modeling

  • Collect, process, and analyze wind resource data from meteorological towers, SCADA systems, and external sources.
  • Perform wind resource assessments and energy yield modeling using software such as WindPRO, WAsP, or OpenWind.
  • Evaluate historical energy production and analyze deviations from expected performance.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Prepare short-term and long-term energy production forecasts to support operations and grid management.
  • Generate detailed reports on energy yield, performance ratios, availability, and other KPIs.
  • Present technical findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Project Support & Optimization

  • Assist in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and site assessments for new wind projects.
  • Support turbine performance analysis and identify potential areas for efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to optimize asset performance.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work with meteorological experts, OEMs, and project developers to gather and validate data.
  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements related to energy generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Certifications or training in wind energy analytics or modeling tools is advantageous

Experience:

  • 3–7 years of experience in wind energy data analysis, forecasting, or project development
  • Familiarity with wind resource assessment tools and renewable energy industry standards

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Proficiency in wind energy software (WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, MATLAB, Python, or similar)
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and data acquisition
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving aptitude
