About the RoleYou'll own our email engine across outbound and inbound. This includes building targeted outbound campaigns for key accounts and industries, running a clean newsletter motion for existing pipeline and retargeting, and coding high-quality HTML/CSS email templates that don't break.
You should be equal parts:
- Strategist (who to target, with what, and why),
- Operator (sets up, segments, automates),
- Builder (can code and QA emails properly).
Key ResponsibilitiesOutbound (Core Focus)
- Plan and execute outbound campaigns for:
- Priority industries (Retail, QSR, etc., segmented by use cases).
- ABM contact lists (decision-makers at target accounts).
- Lookalike companies based on our best customers.
- Own messaging frameworks by segment (persona, industry, account tier).
- Build and iterate multi-step outbound sequences with clear goals: replies, demos, trials.
- Collaborate with sales to sync sequences with their outreach and follow-ups.
Inbound & Newsletter
- Run a weekly HubSpot newsletter to:
- Existing pipeline (active deals, stakeholders).
- Retargeting lists (trial users, past leads, high-intent visitors).
- Curate content: case studies, product updates, feature highlights, use cases.
- Set up basic nurture flows for inbound leads to move them toward demo / trial.
HTML & CSS (Non-Negotiable)
- Design and code responsive, on-brand email templates using HTML & CSS.
- Build modular templates for:
- Outbound sequences,
- Newsletters,
- Product/feature announcements,
- Event / webinar promos.
- Ensure cross-client compatibility (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc
- Keep code clean: table-based where required, inline styles, bulletproof buttons, etc.
Segmentation, Automation & Tools
- Work inside HubSpot (and outbound tools, if any) to:
- Segment by industry, account list, lifecycle stage, and engagement.
- Build workflows for nurtures, follow-ups, and reactivation.
- Maintain list hygiene: remove invalids, manage bounces, unsubscribes, and suppression.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track and report key metrics: opens, clicks, replies, meetings booked, trials started, opportunities influenced.
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, copy, CTAs, and send times.
- Suggest clear next steps from data: which sequences to scale, pause, or fix.
Requirements- 24 years of hands-on email marketing in B2B (SaaS / tech preferred).
- Strong copywriting skills for outbound & nurture (clear, human, non-spammy).
- Proven experience with HubSpot or similar ESP/CRM.
- Solid HTML & CSS skills specifically for email.
- Comfortable with segmentation, workflows, and basic automation.
- Working knowledge of deliverability (domains, warmup, spam traps, etc.).
- Ownership mindset: can take a campaign from idea build launch iterate.
Nice to Have- Experience with ABM & outbound tools (Apollo, Lemlist, Instantly, etc.).
- Experience running campaigns for Retail/QSR/Franchise or similar.
- Basic eye for layout and UX in email.
