Job Title: Electrical Harness Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Harness Design Engineer with strong expertise in wiring harness design, CAD tools, and PLM systems. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions, supporting engineering projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently support and execute design engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders
- Prepare engineering documentation, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN)
- Provide design support for existing production products
- Ensure adherence to design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5M)
- Develop wiring harness designs based on schematics
- Perform electrical network analysis and component selection (wires, connectors, terminals, fuses, etc.)
- Work from engineering instructions, drawings, and technical documentation
- Handle design/drawing releases with minimal supervision
- Mentor and guide junior engineers when required
- Ensure 100% quality and on-time project delivery
Required Skills- Hands-on experience in:
- Creo Cabling & Creo Schematics
- Pro-Diagram
- AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of wiring harness design and development
- Experience in CAD-based harness design solutions
- Knowledge of PLM tools
- Understanding of:
- Electrical component selection (connectors, terminals, wires, fuses)
- Electrical network analysis
- Experience in:
- NPD (New Product Development)
- QnR (Quality & Reliability)
- VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering)
- Strong understanding of BOM preparation
- Knowledge of drafting standards (ASME Y14.5M)
- Ability to establish and follow design standards
- HVAC domain knowledge (preferred)
