Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Program and integrate PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems into the design process.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review and revise existing drawings based on engineering feedback and project updates.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical designs and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with draftsmen, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in preparing material lists and cost estimates for electrical components.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical drafting.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Associate's degree, ITI certification, or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Electrical Draftsman, Electrical Engineer, or in a similar role, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Soft Skills:Excellent attention to detail with a meticulous approach to work.
- Effective interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with electrical design software and tools is a plus.
