Position Overview
Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics (MDAE) is seeking a passionate and goal-oriented Educational Counselor (Sales) to join our admissions team. This role is crucial in guiding prospective students through their academic decisions while also strengthening MDAE's outreach to colleges and academic institutions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a sales mindset, and a genuine interest in helping students pursue quality education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Counseling and Student Engagement
- Interact with prospective students and parents through calls, emails, and in-person consultations.
- Understand students academic interests, career aspirations, and educational needs.
- Provide detailed information on MDAE's programs, learning outcomes, and career pathways.
2. Lead Conversion and Admissions
- Convert inquiries into successful enrollments by recommending suitable programs.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups to build trust and sustain student interest.
- Meet monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
3. B2B Outreach & Institutional Relations
- Visit colleges, universities, career fairs, and coaching centres to promote MDAE's programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with college faculty, placement cells, and academic administrators.
- Conduct on-campus promotions, info desks, student interactions, and engagement activities.
- Generate high-quality leads through institutional partnerships.
4. Marketing & Collaboration
- Coordinate with the marketing team on student acquisition initiatives.
- Work with academic staff to address curriculum, course structure, and outcome-related queries.
- Share feedback received from students and institutions to refine marketing and admissions strategies.
5. Market Research & Insights
- Stay updated on education sector trends, competitor offerings, and student expectations.
- Provide insights to improve program positioning and outreach efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a passion for student counseling are welcome to apply.
- Strong sales mindset and willingness to learn admissions processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel for college visits and outreach activities.
