Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Curriculum Delivery:

  • Implement planned lesson plans in collaboration with the Center Director and Curriculum/Program Coordinator to support holistic development of children aged 2–6 years.
  • Support achievement of learning outcomes for all learners under supervision.
  • Deliver classroom instruction aligned with curriculum goals and learning domains.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments and contribute to assessment strategies.
  • Identify developmental delays and implement inclusive practices in consultation with academic leaders.
  • Introduce innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the learning process.
  • Provide timely feedback on curriculum relevance, design, and learner engagement.
  • Maintain a visually appealing, well-organized classroom aligned with monthly themes.
  • Foster a lifelong love for learning among early years learners.

Teamwork & Mentorship:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, curriculum teams, and centre staff to enhance pedagogy and service delivery.
  • Support curriculum planning, centre events, and program-related activities.
  • Mentor newly joined facilitators when assigned as a buddy.
  • Collaborate closely with caregiving staff to support classroom learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and ownership in achieving overall centre goals.
  • Communicate promptly with the Center Head on matters requiring immediate attention.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Health & Safety:

  • Establish and maintain a positive, safe physical and emotional classroom environment.
  • Ensure child safety, wellness, and development by adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain classroom conditions conducive to overall learner development at all times.

Parent Connect:

  • Work in partnership with parents to support each child's learning potential.
  • Interact with parents during PTCs and as required to discuss progress and needs.
  • Share learning documentation weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually as per plan.
  • Handle ongoing parent communication related to learning and care.
  • Address escalations jointly with the Center Director when required.

Professional & Personal Development:

  • Participate in mandatory trainings, workshops, and skill enhancement programs.
  • Stay updated with best practices in pedagogy, innovation, NEP guidelines, and Grade 1 entry requirements.
  • Continuously upgrade professional knowledge aligned with global education standards.

Classroom Code of Conduct:

  • Respect the dignity and rights of all team members.
  • Maintain professionalism, empathy, and fairness in all interactions.
  • Proactively address concerns and expectation gaps constructively.
  • Lead by example in punctuality, grooming, conduct, and responsibility.
  • Act as a guide and role model to colleagues and learners.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and ownership in daily responsibilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written English with correct grammar, diction, and pronunciation.
  • Strong adaptability, inclusivity mindset, and community-building ability.
  • Ability to manage time, resources, and stress effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
