Job Description

  • Implement planned lesson plans in collaboration with the Centre Director, Curriculum/Program Coordinator, and other head teachers to support holistic development of children aged 2–6 years.
  • Support the achievement of learning outcomes for all learners under supervision.
  • Instruct learners according to curriculum and learning domains, conducting formative and summative assessments.
  • Identify developmental delays and implement inclusive practices in consultation with Programme Leads/Coordinators.
  • Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and provide feedback on curriculum design for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a visually appealing classroom aligned with monthly themes and conducive to learning.
  • Foster a lifelong love for learning in early years.

Team Work

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance curriculum, pedagogy, teaching, and overall service delivery.
  • Support curriculum planning, events, and classroom activities in coordination with the curriculum coordinator and centre team.
  • Mentor newly joined facilitators and caregiving staff to contribute effectively to learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and resourcefulness to achieve centre goals.
  • Communicate timely with managers regarding critical issues and work independently as well as part of a team.

Health & Safety

  • Establish and maintain a positive and safe physical and emotional classroom environment.
  • Ensure child development, safety, and wellness by adhering to all policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Parent Connect

  • Work closely with parents to enhance the child's learning potential.
  • Share child's learning samples as per schedule and address parent communications regarding learning and care.
  • Handle parent escalations in consultation with the Centre Director.

Professional & Personal Development

  • Participate in skill enhancement workshops, trainings, and professional development activities aligned with global best practices.
  • Stay updated on curriculum changes, NEP requirements, and global early childhood education practices.

Classroom Code of Conduct

  • Respect every team member and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
  • Create positive learning experiences while maintaining professional decorum.
  • Serve as a role model in punctuality, respect, and responsibility.
  • Take initiative, manage time and resources effectively, and guide colleagues in decision-making.

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education (NTT, Montessori, ECE, CIDTT trained) or Bachelor's degree compulsory.
  • Minimum 3 years of early years teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in pedagogy and innovation.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with diverse cultures and nationalities is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
