Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts professional with strong expertise in accounts, taxation, compliance, and audit management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in handling accounts, direct and indirect tax laws and reporting. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently under tight deadlines while guiding junior team members and monitoring their work.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Reporting

  • Ensure timely finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual financial records.
  • Monitor ledgers, playable, receivables, fixed assets and reconciliation activities.
  • Reconciliation – E.g. FAR with the General Ledger periodically and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct ledger scrutiny and reconcile invoices with in-house software.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register (FAR) with complete and accurate details of all assets.
  • Calculate and record depreciation as per Companies Act / Income Tax Act and applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standard requirements.

Audit & Certification

  • Resolve audit queries in coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Train and guide the team on audit query handling and compliance requirements.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, Income tax, ROC, PF/ESIC and other statutory laws.
  • Manage labour law payments and MLWF return filing (half-yearly).
  • File Form 15CA/15CB and process foreign remittances.
  • Manage income tax and GST assessment cases, including IMS portal approvals.

Internal Controls & Systems

  • Implements and reviews SOPs for team members, while also preparing and maintaining SOPs for personal responsibilities.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of ERP and accounting systems.
  • Strengthen internal control mechanisms, risk management practices, and audit trails.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Monitor and review entries posted by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial clarifications and support.
  • Execute assignments and requirements as directed by Reporting Manager.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports for Reporting Manager.

Education & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-5 years of post-qualification experience OR Background in Accounts, Taxation, GST, Audit, and Compliance (telecom/IT/CPaaS industry preferred)
  • Semi-qualified / Inter-CA or MBA (Finance) with 8-9 years of relevant experience
