Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Driver role based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Driver will be responsible for operating trucks safely and efficiently, following designated routes, and adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading cargo as required, and maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle. The role also involves communicating with dispatch, providing courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries, and completing necessary delivery logs and documentation accurately. The Driver is expected to follow safety protocols at all times and report any incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of commercial vehicles and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent commercial driving license) with a clean driving record.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, team members, and customers.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally, handle inquiries, and represent the company positively.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks, identify potential mechanical issues, and follow maintenance schedules.
- Familiarity with route planning, navigation tools, and local/regional roads is an advantage.
- Capacity to lift, move, or secure cargo safely, following company and safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a professional driver or truck operator is a plus.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with reliability and punctuality.
