Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Domestic Travel Consultant based in Delhi, India. The role involves assisting clients in planning and arranging domestic travel itineraries, creating reservations, managing travel arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service.
The Domestic Travel Consultant will be responsible for advising clients on travel options, coordinating logistics, handling bookings, and ensuring seamless travel experiences from start to finish.
Qualification
- Proficiency in travel consulting, travel management, and planning domestic travel itineraries
- Experience in travel arrangements, bookings, and coordinating logistics
- Strong customer service and client-handling skills
- Knowledge of reservations, ticketing systems, and travel booking software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with India's domestic travel destinations, culture, and geography
- Previous experience in the travel and tourism sector is an advantage
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in domestic travel consulting or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, or similar) preferred
- Strong knowledge of domestic destinations, routes, and travel packages within India
- Ability to handle end-to-end travel planning, including hotels, transport, and itineraries
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage last-minute changes or client requests
- Strong sales and upselling skills to promote travel packages and services
- Good command of English and Hindi (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
