We are currently representing a high-growth client that serves as a pioneer in the specialized field of integrated identity platforms, fraud detection, and privacy compliance. Their products process millions of interactions daily for some of the biggest names in banking, e-commerce, and logistics.

Role Overview

As a Director and Technology Leader, you will act as a hands-on Engineering Leader. You will head an exceptional team to champion the technical architecture, push for zero-defect software, and orchestrate the development of powerful microservices and complex cloud native applications. You must be highly proficient across modern tech stacks and fully capable of maintaining meaningful client/customer engagements.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Team Leadership: Directing a high-performing engineering team with a continuous, hands-on approach.
• Execution & Oversight: Running in-depth design and code reviews to ensure top-tier standards.
• Architecture: Crafting design artifacts and developing sophisticated, cloud-native applications on GCP or AWS.
• Development: Writing zero-defect software alongside test cases and actively building out APIs, business components, and microservices.
• Client & Product Synergy: Collaborating heavily with product and external business teams to dictate priorities and resolve support challenges at their root.
• Culture Enabler: Cultivating an environment of extreme ownership, experimentation, and proactive innovation within your pod.

We are a PERFECT match if you have...

• Core Competence: Strong expertise in System Design, Architecture, Functional or OO programming, and adherence to SOLID principles.
• Design Prowess: Rich understanding of common design patterns, microservices, OOAD, data models, and API data contracts.
• Backend Expertise: Proficiency in two or more of the following: Elixir, Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, or Ruby (with an open mindset to upskill in others as required).
• Databases: Solid database design and heavy SQL performance tuning skills working with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.).
• Methodologies & Cloud: Extensive practice with Agile methodologies alongside Docker, Kubernetes, and major Cloud platforms.
• Front End: Exposure to UI development leveraging modern web frameworks such as React.
• Soft Skills: A solution-oriented mindset, fantastic communication/articulation skills, and previous experience managing customer interactions.
