Key Responsibilities
- Provides effective leadership to the management and the associates of Operations and establishes an effective means of control and coordination of the site's manufacturing operations which include materials; production; manufacturing engineering; procurement and supply chain management.
- Prioritize current and future talent requirements of the plant which impacts achievement of annual business objectives
- Responsible for both Daily Management of SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity) and driving continuous improvement using Policy Deployment.
- Lead regular (monthly) strategic and operational reviews for the factory. Drive results and effective countermeasures for misses to the plan in all areas
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement utilizing DBS (Danaher Business System) principles. Active participation and leadership with Daily Management and on continuous improvement teams (Kaizen)
- Lead production planning and supply chain initiatives in support of customer demand (PSI – Production, Sales, Inventory)
- Establishes budgets and plans to ensure Quality and Delivery at the lowest possible costs.
- Direct the implementation and maintenance of HSE system in line with GVR's corporate standard and ensure all operation activities are conducted safely, all working conditions and personal protection conditions conform to local safety and industrial regulations
- Identify, train and develop high caliber plant associates to maintain a healthy growth culture and ensure talent depth within Operations
- Participate in GVR global operation strategy planning and execute the agreed plans.
- Ensure plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates as One Team in support of Danaher's Values
- Ensure plant compliance with labor, legal and regulatory guidelines- Ensure total compliance with safety requirements and local, state, and federal employment laws

I. Requirements For The Position
Desired Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business (MBA preferred)
- Solid leadership track record implementing global manufacturing processes, materials price reductions, a best cost global supply base, DBS/Six Sigma process, lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement.
- Experience in the Automotive/Manufacturing industry.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in managing 350 + hourly and salaried associates.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in managing an Operations team that can meet the demands of a growing market by executing on Quality, Delivery and Cost targets that are consistent with the Company's goals.
- 5 to 7 years experience working at a Multi-National Company with a proven track record to grow steadily in the organization with increasing responsibilities.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Language – English and Tamil (Preference)
- Experience in metal removal operations and knowledge of the various machining options such as boring, reaming, milling, honing, turning, grinding, etc.
