Role Summary:

Mizuho is seeking a director-level candidate to partner and deliver Enterprise Master Reference Data.

The Data Management Lead is responsible for the day-to-day activities to operationalize the governance framework and supporting processes to effectively govern Reference and Master Data within the EDMO Data Policy & framework.

The Data Management Lead is responsible for the day-to-day activities to operationalize the Data Quality metrics, and attestation to effectively govern data under management.

The overall objective will support the creation, maintenance and adoption of a unified and consistently defined fit for purpose enterprise Master Reference Data set. This will include a focus on Product, Securities, Business Hierarchies and Legal Entity not to mention other centrally controlled lists.

Key understanding of business processes across client onboarding, operations, finance and data management is essential. The position requires a thorough understanding of enterprise data capabilities combined with hands on experience in implement complex solutions in vibrant and growing organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement processes necessary to govern domain level lifecycle capabilities to ensure forums, working groups and data sets are functioning appropriately.
• Establish enterprise data sets through the use of deep understanding of Master Reference Data sets and collaboration across relevant stakeholders.
• Define and implement generic and domain specific data governance, operations and related frameworks.
• Develop unified and agreed upon approach to manage diverse solutions in interim implementation periods.
• Facilitate and lead efforts necessary to deliver on program commitments and interdependencies necessary to guarantee success.
• Work in a boundaryless fashion to ensure objectives are me through the elimination of friction and stumbling blocks that could hamper implementation and adoption.
• Support key stakeholders and Other Data domains through the transition to and adoption of Master Reference data governance and data sets.
• Support key stakeholders and Other Data domains through the transition to and adoption of Data quality, and attestation processes.
• Ensure Master Reference and Data Management processes and tooling are selected, implemented and govern in alignment with the program's goals and an eye towards value additive business goals.
• Work with Issue Management to define and remediate issues related to Master Reference Data.
• Qualifications:
• BA/BS
• A minimum of ten years of experience in finance, client onboarding, health or other highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated Data Analyst and Process improvement skillset in Master and Reference Data domains relevant to the Financial/Banking industry.
• Ability to monitor, influence and escalate when working on projects with tight deadlines and commitments.
• Effective collaborator, able to build relationships across and within domains.
• Demonstrated experience in leading / directing deliverables, providing recommendations and taking initiative on projects or team tasks.
• Highly organized with an ability to lead team members within individual workstreams or reviews.
• Capable of driving outcomes independently, solving problems independently and escalating issues as encountered.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues across disparate businesses, regions and cultures.
• Experience in development of business frameworks, control frameworks, issue remediation across business process or technology, possibly in a consulting or strategy role.
• Demonstrated Data Analyst and Process improvement skillset in Master and Reference Data domains relevant to the Financial/Banking industry.
• Ability to monitor, influence and escalate when working on projects with tight deadlines and commitments.
• Effective collaborator, able to build relationships across and within domains.
