Role: Director –C&I Energy Transformation
Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
Lead the C&I energy transformation engagements across the following themes:
1.Power Procurement Optimization : Open access strategy (inter-state/intra-state), bilateral/PPA structuring, group captive models, power exchange trading (IEX/PXIL), demand forecasting & scheduling, cross-subsidy surcharge / additional surcharge optimization, banked energy management
2.Renewable Energy / Green Power : C&I solar (rooftop + ground-mount), wind, hybrid, RE PPAs (physical + virtual), third-party open access RE, captive/group captive RE, green tariff programs, REC procurement, behind-the-meter BESS
3.Energy Cost Reduction : Tariff audit & optimization (HT/EHT tariff analysis, ToD optimization, power factor management, contract demand rationalization, DG-to-grid migration), energy audit (PAT scheme compliance), fuel mix optimization
4.Captive Power & Co-generation : Captive plant optimization (coal/gas/biomass), co-gen/tri-gen strategy, waste heat recovery, captive vs grid economics, PLF & heat rate improvement, fuel procurement strategy
5.Energy Storage & Demand Response : Behind-the-meter BESS for peak shaving/ToD arbitrage, demand response participation, microgrid design for industrial campuses
6.Power Plant / Utility Asset Management : CPP O&M optimization, turbine/boiler performance assessment, predictive maintenance, digital twin for captive plants, power plant lifecycle management
Qualification : B.E./B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical / Energy / Chemical); MBA preferred
Years of experience:
Direct operational experience in at least one of these sectors: Auto, Pharma, Cement, Steel, Chemicals, Data centres
Deep knowledge of:
