Direct Tax Manager

This is a full-time on-site role for a Direct Tax Manager located in Navi Mumbai. The Direct Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, planning, and audit processes, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations. Key responsibilities include managing tax filings, handling tax audits, optimizing tax efficiency, researching changing tax laws, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enforce tax strategies effectively. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and liaising with authorities and consultants as needed.

• Proficient knowledge of direct tax laws, tax planning, and compliance
• Experience in tax audit management and handling tax assessments
• Familiarity with corporate finance, financial reporting, and accounting principles
• Strong research and analytical skills to interpret tax regulations and changes
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders and teams
• Ability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai and meet deadlines under pressure
• A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred; a background in taxation law or financial management is advantageous
• Experience in the engineering or energy industry is a plus
