We are currently looking for a Digital Service Manager to take ownership of IBM i and IBM z hosting services within a global automotive infrastructure platform team.
This role is central to a major IT separation and transition, where a new standalone landscape is being established. You will act as the global service owner for IBM i / IBM z hosting, taking over operational ownership, driving vendor performance, and ensuring stable, secure, and cost-efficient service delivery.
Contract Duration - 7 months + Extensions
Mode of work - Remote
Key Responsibilities
• Act as global Service Owner for IBM i / IBM z hosting platforms
• Manage day-to-day service operations, availability, reliability, and security
• Lead vendor management, including SLA governance, RCA follow-up, contract adherence, and service improvement
• Own the service roadmap, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT strategy
• Manage budget, forecasts, and financial governance for the service
• Support major incidents, operational stability, compliance, and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with architects, security, and service management teams across the organization
Key Requirements
• Senior experience as a Hosting Service Owner / Service Manager in a global outsourced IT environment
• Strong experience with IBM i and/or IBM z hosting platforms
• Strong vendor management capability (SLAs, RCA, performance, contracts)
• Experience managing availability, reliability, performance, and security of infrastructure services
• Experience driving service roadmaps, continuous improvement, and cost optimization
• Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
