Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Manager will be the strategic and operational backbone of AIMS Institutes digital presence. This role demands a high-energy, proactive professional who deeply understands the education industry — from student acquisition funnels and admission cycles to brand positioning in a competitive academic landscape. The incumbent will own the digital marketing roadmap end-to-end, driving enrollment growth, brand visibility, and student engagement across all digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven digital marketing strategy aligned with AIMS Institutes enrollment targets and brand objectives.
- Map the student journey from awareness to enrollment and design digital touchpoints accordingly.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor institutions, and emerging education marketing practices to keep AIMS ahead of the curve.
- Plan and manage annual digital marketing budgets with a sharp focus on ROI and cost-per-lead optimization.
- Performance Marketing & Lead Generation
- Design, launch, and optimize paid campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), YouTube, and LinkedIn targeting prospective students and parents.
- Build and manage enrollment funnels — from landing pages and lead forms to CRM integration and nurturing workflows.
- Achieve aggressive enrollment targets by reducing CPL and improving lead-to-admission conversion rates.
- Run retargeting campaigns across admission seasons (Jan–Mar and Jun–Aug cycles) with precision segmentation.
- Content & Social Media Management
- Lead content strategy across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter — creating a consistent, aspirational brand voice for AIMS.
- Oversee production of student testimonials, campus videos, faculty spotlights, webinars, and placement success stories.
- Manage editorial calendars and coordinate with internal teams and external agencies for content execution.
- Drive organic growth through thought leadership, trending education content, and community engagement.
- SEO, Website & Analytics
- Own the AIMS website — ensuring it is optimized for search (on-page and off-page SEO), user experience, and conversion.
- Track and report on all digital KPIs: traffic, leads, CTR, bounce rate, cost per admission, and ROAS using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools.
- Conduct regular A/B testing on landing pages, ad creatives, and email campaigns to improve performance.
- Ensure all digital properties are mobile-first, fast-loading, and compliant with data privacy norms.
- Email, WhatsApp & CRM Marketing
- Design and execute automated email and WhatsApp drip campaigns for inquiry follow-ups, open days, counselling sessions, and admission deadlines.
- Integrate digital marketing tools with the CRM system for lead tracking, nurturing, and pipeline visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the admissions team to ensure seamless handover and follow-up of qualified leads.
- Brand Building & Reputation Management
- Strengthen AIMS Institutes reputation across Google Reviews, Shiksha, Collegedunia, Justdial, and education portals.
- Monitor and manage online sentiment, ORM (Online Reputation Management), and respond proactively to queries and reviews.
- Collaborate with PR teams for digital amplification of rankings, events, and institutional milestones.
- Team & Agency Management
- Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing executives, content creators, and graphic designers.
- Manage relationships with external agencies for SEO, paid media, videography, and influencer marketing.
- Set clear KPIs for team members and conduct regular performance reviews.
Education Industry Knowledge – What We Expect
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong domain knowledge of the Indian higher education ecosystem, including:
- Understanding of admission cycles, UG/PG program marketing, and student decision-making behavior.
- Familiarity with education portals like Shiksha, Collegedunia, GetMyUni, and their advertising models.
- Awareness of UGC, NAAC, and NIRF rankings and their significance in brand communication.
- Knowledge of competitor institutions in Bangalore and their digital positioning.
- Experience marketing programs across disciplines like Management (MBA/BBA), Commerce, Law, Computer Applications, etc.
- Understanding of scholarship marketing, alumni engagement, and industry-academia partnerships as marketing levers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, MBA (Marketing), or a related field.
- 5–8 years of hands-on digital marketing experience, with at least 2–3 years in the education sector (schools, colleges, ed-tech, coaching institutes).
- Proven track record of running successful paid campaigns and achieving enrollment or lead generation targets.
- Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
