Key Responsibilities and activities:
- Design, implement and monitor enterprise-grade secure fault-tolerant infrastructure
- Work with cross-functional teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise
scalable features to support platform and infrastructure security requirements, including
environment monitoring and incident remediation.
- Working closely with InfoSec teams to ensure organizational best practices are followed
- Assist the team in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating
them to other members of the team
- Integrate newly developed and existing applications into private, public and hybrid cloud
environments
- Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure and reliable manner
- Implement and integrate security in our CI/CD pipelines using tools like sonarqube
- Improvise the security posture of our cloud infrastructure and enable engineering teams to
improvise on application security
- Drive the security initiatives across the engineering teams at Helpshift
- Have a culture of automation where any repetitive work is automated
- Help grow the team by mentoring and interviewing other talented engineers that want to join us
Requirements
Skills required
- 5+ years experience in a similar role - Cloud Engineer, IT Administrator, Systems Engineer,
DevOps
- Experience with automation/configuration management tool (Jenkins using Groovy scripting,
Terraform, Ansible or an equivalent)
- Experience in Kubernetes (EKS, KUBECTL, HELM)
- Hands on in source code management tools like Git, Bitbucket, SVN etc
- Should have working experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Elasticsearch, SPLUNK, or
any other monitoring tools/processes.
- Understanding of self-healing/immutable microservice based architectures, cloud platforms,
clustering models, networking technologies.
- Good knowledge of AWS cloud and securing AWS infrastructure
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Self starter and be able to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal
supervision
