Job Title: DevOps Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Chennai

We're looking for a DevOps Specialist to build and scale our multi-cloud (GCP & Azure) environments with security-first automation.

Who Should Apply:

We seek engineers with 5-6 years of DevOps experience, including 1-2 years designing and managing cloud native architectures. If you have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP/ Azure), containerization (dockers / Kubernetes), infrastructure as a code (terraform, ansible) and designed secure CI/CD pipelines, enforced zero-trust access, and optimized cloud costswhile thriving in fast-paced AI/ML environmentsthis role is for you. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, observability stacks, and modern identity and access protocols is a strong plus.

Role Summary:

As a DevOps Specialist at Yavar, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the backbone of our cloud-native infrastructure. You'll be responsible for designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud deployments, ensuring high availability and security, and supporting developer productivity through automation. You'll also oversee internal IT operations, including employee onboarding/offboarding, identity management, and system access controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure reliability, DevOps innovation, and organizational IT administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and automated code deployments across environments.
  • Manage multi-cloud architectures (GCP/AWS/Azure) focusing on scalability, cost-efficiency and high availability.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as a code (IaaC) using toolis like Terraform/ Cloud Formation, ensuring compliance with SOC2/GDPR.
  • Setup and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes, including helm-based deployments.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance monitoring, altering and optimizing costs with finops practices using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or datadog.
  • Implement zero-trust IAM (GCP IAM Roles, Azure RBAC/PIM) and SSO/MFA (Azure AD, Google Workspace).
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with embedded security scans.
  • Manage secrets (Hashicorp Vault, GCP Secret Manager) and encryption (KMS, Cloud HSM).
  • Collaborate with AI teams to deploy RAG pipelines and vector databases at scale.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to improve DevOps productivity and operational resilience.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, performance benchmarking, deployment automation and disaster recovery planning.
  • Own and manage internal IT administration including employee onboarding, ID provisioning, access controls and system audits.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, and system administration roles.
  • 1-2 years experience in managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP & Azure).
  • Proficiency in:
  • Infra-as-Code: Terraform, ARM/Bicep
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/AKS), Helm
  • Security: IAM, VPC-SC, NSGs, SIEM tools
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Github scripting and automation scripting (Bash, python, or shell).
  • Experience managing IT administration workflows, employee RBAC and endpoint management.
  • Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science or related field.
