To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Specialist- IT located in Chennai location.

As an Automation Specialist to design and deliver scalable automation solutions supporting enterprise Storage and Backup platforms. This role focuses on operational excellence-eliminating repetitive tasks, improving resiliency, and enabling reliable, secure, and standardsdriven automation across global infrastructure environments.

You will be part of a global engineering organization, working with Storage, Backup, Database, and DevOps teams to drive meaningful automation outcomes in a 24x7 enterprise environment.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Storage and Backup operations

• Build and manage a centralized automation repository using industry best practices

• Automate repetitive operational workflows based on standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Develop monitoring and watchdog mechanisms to ensure automation accuracy and reliability

• Implement automation using Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and integrate with enterprise tools

• Ensure security, integrity, and access controls across automation workflows

• Support automation changes, releases, and maintenance through ITIL / ServiceNow Change Management

• Validate automation performance before production release

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

• Collaborate with global teams to improve platform stability, efficiency, and scalability.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in any technical field of study (preferred to computer science, automation, informatics, electronics, telecommunications)

• 6-8 years of handson IT automation experience in enterprise environments

• Strong experience with:

  • Python

  • Ansible

  • Devops

• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps principles

• Experience supporting Storage and Backup operations (enterprise infrastructure)

• Working knowledge of Database queries, functions, stored procedures

• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into robust automation solutions.

• Good to have Powershell, Power BI, Jenkins, Git / Git repositories.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Flexible shifts (11am-8pm /2pm-11pm).
