Location: Andheri (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra

Notice Period: Immediate to Short Notice Preferred

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/macOS) and standard business applications
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, email)
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Active Directory / Azure AD
  • Perform system updates, patches, and antivirus management
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in a ticketing system
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for escalated issues
  • Set up and support new employee workstations and IT onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 14 years of experience in desktop or IT support (can be adjusted)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Experience with Active Directory and user support tools
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes and ticketing systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with macOS and mobile device management (MDM)
  • Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, or similar endpoint management tools
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell)
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications

Work Environment

  • Office / Onsite / Hybrid support environment
  • May require shift work or on-call support depending on business needs
