The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for the monitoring of systems, tracking, resolving and escalating incidents to ensure the highest levels of availability and adherence to service level agreements.Accountable for the technical and operational overview of all networks, servers and supporting applications for which support agreements with customers have been constructed.This includes monitoring, correcting, and troubleshooting day-to-day issues for all supported applications, products and infrastructure.The technician is responsible for administering the systems and applications in an operations role as determined and scheduled by operations documentation.
Provides information for Inventory Management.
Assisting various teams in executing Endpoint related deployments.
Responsible for asset allocations in response to service requests and consequent updates to IT asset register
Assist internal office staff with training on Desktop products, including orientation on technical services, which include operating system, email, MS Office, and local network procedures
Ensure the highest levels of availability and adherence to service level agreements.
Build Desktop PC's and laptops with application installed and create user accounts.Setup phones and communication devices, e.g. Blackberry.
Creating and updating incidents accordingly within the ticket tracking system with detailed incident and resolution information.Notifying appropriate personnel and customers (internal and external) upon issue resolution.
User ID management for Standalone Instrument systems along with the necessary documentation as mentioned in the SOP Annexure
Troubleshooting & fixing desktop / laptop OS, e-mail client, printer / scanner, print queue related issues
Note : 6 Days Working & Rotational shift included.
