Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user technical support and ensure the smooth functioning of desktop computing environments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of hands-on experience supporting end-user systems and will play a key role in maintaining system availability, security, and user productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system (Windows / macOS), and basic network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and end-user tools.
  • Manage user accounts, access, and permissions using Active Directory, email systems, VPNs, and related platforms.
  • Handle IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution in line with defined SLAs.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors for issue resolution, hardware support, and asset management.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates to maintain compliance and system stability.
  • Maintain clear documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, access provisioning, and asset allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to company IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 35 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic macOS, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and fundamental networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with IT ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Good To Have

  • Exposure to cloud-based tools, endpoint management, or MDM solutions.
  • Experience working in a SaaS or product-based organization.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent.
