Job Summary
We are seeking a
skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user technical support and ensure the smooth functioning of desktop computing environments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have
35 years of hands-on experience supporting end-user systems and will play a key role in maintaining system availability, security, and user productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system (Windows / macOS), and basic network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and end-user tools.
- Manage user accounts, access, and permissions using Active Directory, email systems, VPNs, and related platforms.
- Handle IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution in line with defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors for issue resolution, hardware support, and asset management.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates to maintain compliance and system stability.
- Maintain clear documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, access provisioning, and asset allocation.
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic macOS, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and fundamental networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with IT ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good To Have
- Exposure to cloud-based tools, endpoint management, or MDM solutions.
- Experience working in a SaaS or product-based organization.
- Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent.
