We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new desktops and laptops.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation of support activities.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance service delivery and improve processes.
- Provide training and support to users on various applications and tools.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Strong understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus.
