Job Summary:
The Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for desktop systems, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity. The role ensures smooth IT operations by managing hardware, software, and user support requests while maintaining system security and performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
- Provide technical support for Windows, Microsoft 365, and other approved business applications.
- Perform user account management (creation, access rights, password resets, etc.).
- Maintain system updates, antivirus protection, and security compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults in a timely manner.
- Support LAN/WAN connectivity issues, including IP configuration and network printer setup.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and tagging.
- Assist in system upgrades, backups, and data recovery activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty claims.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT best practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 24 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with remote support tools and IT ticketing systems.
- Familiar with endpoint security and data protection policies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent preferred.
