About the Role
The Manager Design position is a key role responsible for overseeing the design and development of plastic and metal products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Concept development, 3D & 2D maturation as per project requirement
- Customer interaction to understand the requirements
- Packaging studies of standard Southco products in customer application
- Close co-ordination with NPD team / Prototype analysis / root cause analysis
- Automotive industry knowledge preferred
- Awareness of Managerial activities related to Performance analysis / skill matrix / Monthly & quarterly reports / Task alignments & execution
- Good experience in team management & Onsite-offshore coordination
- Experience in Tactical planning, Maintain and execute open issue list (OIL), Design reviews
- Excellent communication, time management skill and decision-making capability
- Close working with Suppliers / customer / NPD & Quality departments
- Strong CAD design knowledge of CATIA v5 & NX12
- Design reviews using the CATIA v5 & NX12
- Experience in Plastic / foam / Metal part design and development
- Experience in Product lifecycle from RFQ→ Launch → Production
- Practical work experience in root cause analysis & Creative Problem Solving
- Excellent understanding of Product lifecycle management from scratch to production release
- Innovative thinking ability to develop new concepts in the regular work scope
- Sound knowledge of change management system in PLM tool like Teamcenter & Enovia VPM
- Experience in creation of manufacturing drawings and good knowledge of GD&T
Qualification & Experience
- B.E/ B.Tech
- Experience-range (Years): 14 Years +
