ISC Lead role in NPI program, DFx deployment for NPIs, Engineering support to Global Manufacturing Lines, Support/ drive Localization, Cost productivity, Yield Management, BIQ deployment, ECN/ECO implementation Management.
Role & responsibilities
- Deploy DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Testing, Cost etc.) guidelines for NPI program.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering Team to drive DFX aspects in NPIs
- Provide technical support to all Global Manufacturing lines,
- Support/ drive localization activities, cost productivity
- Strong hands-on Manufacturing Process - Plastics, Casting, Sheet Metal, Machining & Welding
- Analyze data, charts & graphs, use six sigma tools
- Identify & support development of Jigs, Fixtures & Machine requirements.
- Ability to engage in different functions like engineering, procurement, manufacturing etc. to drive projects. Ability to lead CFT meetings.
- Tolerance Analysis Conduct tolerance analysis and have a solid grasp of drafting standards, particularly ASME 14.5M, DIN, and BSS.
Preferred candidate profile
- B. E. or masters degree in (Mechanical/Production/ Industrial Engineering)
- Relative experience: 10 to 15 Years
Knowledge and skills
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
- Strong hands on CAD software - Creo/Solidworks. Hands on DFM Pro and Other DFM software is added advantage
- Experience in Cost & Quality improvement projects.
- Awareness of different quality standards.
- Sound knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.
- Experience in Product Performance, Prototyping & Testing.
- Exposure/experience to working in a global engineering team environment
- Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business & task/project priorities
