We are seeking a proficient and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, NPD and demonstrate excellent CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle

This team is into Development of High-speed cable assemblies for I/O solutions enabling next gen data rates that goes into Data centers powering cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services
What You Will Do
- Utilize Siemens NX software to develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with Supervisor and team members to interpret technical specifications and voice of customers, and convert them into detailed designs, 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, within Teamcenter.
- Manage and organize Design and CAD files, ensuring proper version control and data integrity within Teamcenter.
- Conduct design reviews and participate in cross-functional meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations for design improvements.
- Perform tolerance analysis and verification of parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form, and function.
- Conduct design feasibility studies, identifying potential issues or constraints and proposing solutions to optimize designs.
- Participate in early feasibility discussion providing insights on feasibility, manufacturability adhering to industry and Molex standards.
- Lead efforts on driving DFMEA, DVP&R & Drive product validation activities
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
- 3 to 5 years Design experience in Product design, Product validation, Manufacturing process knowledge and exposure.
- Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal forming, Machining, fabrication of components and various assembly processes.
- Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting
- Good Knowledge on product design, PDP (NPD) process, product testing, Product lifecycle management.
- Hands on experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
What Will Put You Ahead
- Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and PLM/PDM systems.
- Experience in the connector / cable or electromechanical products industry.
- Skilled in developing product designs aligned with customer requirements.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in product design
