Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the role is to support new product engineering activities, including the design and development of new products and validation through prototyping and testing. The role requires professional expertise in all aspects of MV/LV Switchgear.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare micro plan and execute allocated design activities of NPD projects within specified timeline and budget (as per project and budget plan).
- Follow Lucy engineering design processes, prepare drawings, and bill of materials using PLM & CAD systems (tracked via ECRs and drawing checklists).
- Design parts and assemblies that meet quality targets while minimizing cost.
- Participate in prototype development and follow internal/external testing schedules.
- Witness internal/external product testing in India and abroad.
- Collaborate with the NPD team to execute engineering activities.
- Provide required data to the configurator team as per project plan.
- Participate in DFMEA, considering failure modes at various design stages.
- Prepare design documentation as required for project efficiency.
Job Context:
Responsible for executing assigned engineering design tasks defined by the project scope. Operates as an individual contributor within the team, ensuring alignment with MRD requirements and testing protocols (internal/external).
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 1 to 4 years in MV/LV switchgear domain
- Job-Specific Skills:
- Understanding of customer needs
- Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear products and applications
- Understanding of product standards and related testing
