Role Summary
The position involves working on engineering change management and core design documentation activities, including ECN execution, drawing creation/modification, and BOM management using PLM tools. The role requires a strong understanding of design fundamentals, design standards, GD & T, material selection, and manufacturing practices (tubing design, etc) for Air Management product.
Requirement
- BE/BTech – Mechanical with 2 – 3 years of experience in Design engineering of Refrigeration / Air Conditioning / Air Management applications and have good understanding of HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of CAD tool to create 3D model and 2D drawing. Preferable tool is Unigraphics-NX
- Good understanding of PLM workflow, BOM and ECN is preferable
- Strong analytical & Design skills in Structural/Thermal Engineering and Hands on Theoretical calculations
- Proficient in applying the technical understanding and design principles to the product design
- Good understanding in manufacturing process like casting, machining, sheet metal, etc & ability to corelate manufacturing requirements is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Well conversant with presentation through MS tools and experience of presentation
- Knowledge of Engineering tools like DFMEA, VAVE, DOE is advantageous
- Excellent command over English language both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities
Individual Contributor –
- Create, review, and modify 3D model & 2D drawings in compliance with engineering standards
- Strong understanding of GD & T and tolerance stack-up to verify part fitment and provide solutions
- Ensure alignment of design changes with manufacturing feasibility and product requirements
- Maintain high quality and accuracy in all engineering deliverables
- Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and ensure accurate implementation in design documentation
- Manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) within PLM systems
- Work extensively with PLM tools for data management, version control, and release processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project understanding and execution and conduct Design reviews
- Contributing to developing new processes and helping to improve current process to create value and Increase quality & speed of delivery
