Candidate Description – Design Coordinator (Interior Projects)

The candidate is a creative and detail-oriented Design Coordinator with proven experience in managing and supporting interior design projects from concept to execution. The role requires strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and detailing, along with the ability to coordinate effectively between clients, designers, vendors, and site teams.

A key aspect of this role is active site involvement, ensuring that all design elements are executed as per drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the development and coordination of interior design concepts, layouts, and working drawings.
• Interpreting architectural and interior drawings and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Regularly visiting project sites to monitor on-site progress, verify execution quality, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Coordinating with site teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of design elements.
• Identifying and reporting any deviations or issues at site and coordinating for timely resolution.
• Managing material selections, sample approvals, and vendor follow-ups.
• Preparing design presentations, BOQs, and documentation required for project execution.
• Maintaining clear and timely communication between all stakeholders and tracking project progress against timelines.
• Submitting periodic site reports with updates on work progress, quality, and challenges.

The candidate should be well-organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple projects while maintaining design quality and consistency.

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Interior Design/Architecture preferred (not mandatory if candidate has strong hands-on experience in interior design coordination).
