Description
The Deputy Medical Superintendent will support the Medical Superintendent in the overall administration of the hospital, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Medical Superintendent in managing hospital operations and ensuring quality patient care.
- Oversee the implementation of hospital policies and procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Supervise medical staff and coordinate their activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize hospital resources.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services.
- Act as a liaison between medical staff and hospital administration to facilitate effective communication.
- Support the Medical Superintendent in strategic planning and implementation of new healthcare programs.
Skills and Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- MD in Hospital Administration or relevant specialization is preferred.
- 5-15 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and hospital management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data and healthcare metrics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in using hospital management software and electronic health records (EHR).
